Hello Sutter Families,


Our Sutter Walkathon is next Friday, October 26th from 10:30-11:30. All students will receive a Sutter Spirit Wear/Walkathon t-shirt thanks to our generous Sutter PTA. So far we have collected almost $5,000 towards our goal of $30,000. This year our funds will go towards funding:


*Expanding the school Book Room to provide teachers with sets of books needed to teach reading groups in TK-5th classrooms.

*Replacing and expanding current recess resources such as play equipment, adjustable height basketball hoops, and staffing to run recess games and activities.

*Providing Science Lab and Reading Intervention Program support personal

*Replacing equipment for school emergency precautions


We are also looking for donations of items to help with this year's Walkathon.  Each grade will bring in different items.. Sign-up sheets will be posted outside of each classroom. We are asking that TK/Kinder families sign up to bring frozen Otter Pops, 1st grade brings Red Vines, and 2-5th grade - brings bottled water. If you sign up to bring an item, please bring it by October 25th to the staff room.


There are two ways you can make a pledge by next Friday:

  1. Go to and click on “My Walkstarter” to make a pledge collecting site for your child. Your child’s page link can be shared with family and friends via email or through social media. When people make donations through this link, the donation is automatically added to your child’s total and will count towards earning prizes and will increase their class participation percentage.

  2. Collect pledges on the orange paper pledge sheet and turn in cash and checks by October 26th. Pledges collected via cash and checks will be added to your child’s Walkstarter page if they have created one. We are only doing flat donations this year (not pledging per lap).

eScrip is a fundraising program that works automatically. As a supporter you sign up with eScrip and register your Safeway club card account.  When you shop, Safeway makes contributions to Sutter PTA. See our eScrip page for registration information.
